It is almost six weeks since my davinci total hyster, bladder and rectum lift. I am 65 and wonder about bending to feed my cat, starting back to yoga , and pool walking or pool excersizes. Have lower pressure feelings on/off. No bleefing sine 10 days post op. Basically feel great, somewhat tired, stilll daily naps, not constipated with colace and metamucil daily. Thanks Dee

Hello,
As far as external scar or healing is concerned, wound heals much better and much faster in davinci hystrectomy, but the internal tissue injuries are same in all types of hysterectomies.
Healing of internal tissues depend upon so much variables like age and different with different people but the biggest factor for healing is physical level of fitness of the lady before the surgery.
More the lady was fir before the surgery faster and better outcome after the suregery.
On average it takes about 8 weeks for internal tissues to heal but sometimes it can take 12 weeks also.
The est for you would be to wait for 2-3 weeks more and then start your exercise regime but slowly and gradually increasing it.
The moment you find that you are having some pain or discofort, you stop the exercises completely for another 3-4 weeks rather than reducing the amount of exercises.
Take the help of a physio initially for better outcome.
I hope it helps
Thanks

Hi, it appears that you have slight swellings of the internal organs, and some adhesions . You need to have a sort of physiotherapy, for making the habbit of doing your daily work. To make it a habbit you may use some analgesic for temporary relief. Thank you.
