Had A C-section And On Hydrocodone. Can This Cause Swelling In Legs, Feet And Ankles ?

I just recently had a C-section and I am on Hydrocodone for pain along with iron supplements , prenatal vitamins , fish oil and vitamin d3 for breast feeding. I just came home yesterday from the hospital and started all of these medicines and vitamins. Can any of these be linked to swelling in my legs, feet, and ankles?

Hi,

No, I do not think your symptoms are related to the drugs that you are on currently.

It is normal to have swelling in legs, feet and ankles during and after a delivery be it C-section or normal vaginal delivery.

Keep your foot end elevated. It will go away soon.

Take care.
