Had Hepatitis A. Had Pimple Like Rash On Skin. Advised Acutret. Any Side Effects?
I had Hepatitis A, 2 months back. Meanwhile my skin broke into black hads which gradually swelled and became pimple like. I was adviced acutret 10 mg. MY famile doctor advised against the medicine claming its has lots of side effects. Is that true? can u offer an alternative.
Pls note that my I have been affected with acne problem for 10 years now and i want a permanent solution
As a side effect Acutret causes elevation of liver transaminases and in rare cases - hepatitis. Since you are already suffering from viral hepatitis A, please be cautious with this medication. Viral hepatitis is a water borne infection and is self limiting in most cases. Once you are cured from hepatitis and follow up liver tests are normal, you can start taking Acutret under doctors supervision.
There are many treatments for acne available. The medications prescribed by your doctor are good but you must continue as per your doctors instructions and under supervision.
Hope this helps.
