HSG Done, Uterus Has Irregular Contours, Left Fallopian Tube Not Visible. Meaning Of Scan?

I took an HSG recently and my results indicate that the uterus has irregular contours and that the right fallopian tube was visualized but with no peritoneal spill of contrast medium well as the left was not visualised despite the high injection pressure that was used. Kindly explain this to me in simple English. Thanks

Hi, welocome to HCM
Follopian tube is part which carry ovum from ovary to uterus . It has two ends one at ovary, away from uterus and other near uterus.
Right tube visualised means there is blockage at ovarian end, so that contrast i.e. medicine doesnot come out. We can not do much for this.
Left tube not visualised means there is block at uterne end, we can open it by Follopian tube recanalization(FTR). it is a simple procedure like HSG.
Irregular contour of uterus may be due to either infection or u still have period.
anything elso , please let me knoe.
THanking you
