Green Discharge From A Polyp Outside Anus. Using Cortisone, Not Helping. Had Rectal Fissure Surgery
For several weeks I have had a bloody/green discharge from a polyp pea sized just outside my anus and the use of cortisone has neither shrunk it or caused it to go away, there is constant drainage but very little red blood and not a whole lot of pain. Should I seek a doctor's help? I have had rectal fissure surgery twice years ago and this pain is nowhere near as severe

Hi,
Post fissure surgery polyp like swelling at anus having greenish red discharge suggests infection. The hydrocortisone ointment wont suffice n such case.
You may need a course of antibiotics ,daily cleaning of the lesion,(may be shitz bath ),mild laxatives& fiber rich diet with lot of liquids.
Please consult your surgeon,get a prescription. Follow the suggestions & get well soon.
