Going To Take IVF Treatment. What Is The Dosage Of Prolution Depot Injection That Has To Be Given?

I am taking part in an IVF treatment. I would like to use prolution depot injection, but I do not know the dosage. Can you please tell me what is the correct dosage. I heard that it should be given every 3-4 days, but I read in the prescription that it should be given once a week up to 12 weeks of pregnancy. I will also use crinone gel as well, as an additional progesterone.

IVF treatment is quite an advanced technique in fertility treatment & I suggest that each & every step should be supervised. Progesterones are widely used for the support of early pregnancy, & may prove beneficial in selected cases.
Usual dose for proluton depot is 250 microgram every week as a deep intramascular injection. Some doctors may continue this till 20 weeks of pregnancy. Dose, frequency & duration of use vary from person to person. So, it would be wise to consult your treating Gynecologist.
