Glimulin, Novastat, Matilda Plus Prescribed For Diabetes Should Be Taken Before Or After Meals?

I hae been prescribed glimulin 2 mf for diabetes along with some other medicines e.g. novastat, matilda plus, vision guard etc. I would like to know whether these medicines are to be taken before or after meals as one of my friends who is also suffering from diabetes told me that the medicines should be taken 15-20 miniutes before meals.
