Give Me Some Tips On Reducing My BP

Any tips on reducing my blood pressure? I m young and healthy (have a very fit body and train daily), have never smoked and don t drink very often. I tried not drinking at all, and removing salt from my diet almost completely for 2 years and it made absolutely no difference. I ve also had many investigations for biological issues that might cause it... the heart doctors say I m really healthy and will live a long life. I take prescribed medicine to lower my blood pressure, this helps to prevent any issues later in life (maybe when I m 50 or 60), but I want to stop taking medication for good as it s expensive! Also I want to join the army however despite passing their written officer entry test and fitness tests, it s no banana for me because I take blood pressure medicine.

Well you didnt say what your readings are, but I know Ive heard that in some cases, no matter what you do medicine, eat right, etc, some people just cant bring it down no matter how well they are following the rules. Just because a person is fit, and living well doesnt mean they cant get a illness or nothing bad can happen to them. I wouldnt get off meds unless doc says so. And as for the amount. Hey isnt your life worth the money? I know it sucks, but if you really have high BP at least you can control it and live a healthy life. Good Luck!
