Getting Stomach Ache While Having Cold And Swallowing Nasal Mucus. Any Solution?

my entire life, I m 51, whenever I get a cold and swallow nasal mucus , I get a very localized stomach ache that has intense pain. It feels like a small, condensed gas bubble. I m incapable of belching for some reason. The bubble is palpable and is located on the far right (my right) side of the front of my abdomen. HELP!

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

It is possible that whenever you have a cold or fever, you could be having hyperacidity, probably because of the poor intake and stress. This is the probable cause for having stomach pain during such times.

During such times, I would advise you to take an adequate intake, eat a bland diet and drink plenty of fluids. You can also try an antacid for symptomatic relief. If the problem is persistent or severe, please see a doctor for further evaluation and investigations.

Wish you all the best.
