Getting Hot Flushes, Sleeplessness, Anxiety And Depression. Had Minera Coil Removed. Ant Thoughts?

Hi, I am 54 and experiencing the menopause with many unpleasant symptoms. Hot flushes, sleeplessness , anxiety, depression (on a low dose of citalopram ) general feeling of fatigue. I had my mirena coil removed a year ago and these symptoms started to increase after that. I had the mirena for about 10 years. Am I correct in thinking that that was a form of HRT eventhough I had it fitted for heavy periods and birth control? Let me know your thoughts? thanks.

Mirena would have been a form of HRT but you will need estrogen supplementation also. If the symptoms get too much to handle then oral HRT can be started.
