Getting Difficulty In Swallowing Solid Foods

I am 39 year of age and want to know about this difficulty in swallowing. It is quite painful whenever I take solids or liquids. It is so disturbing that I have stopped taking solid foods and with great difficulty I take Juices. Can you suggest me something?

Odynophagia is painful swallowing, and dysphagia is difficulty swallowing in the mouth (oropharynx) or esophagus. They go hand in hand in some clinical situations. It can be caused by many conditions, including very hot or cold food or drink, drugs, ulcers and mucosal destruction, upper respiratory tract infections, immune disorders, cancers, and motor disorders. Causes include 1) Cancer of the Oesophagus 2) Crohn's Disease 3) Achalasia 4) Oral Ulceration 5) Cellulitis 6) Tonsillitis (Acute and Chronic) 7) Sore Throats 8) Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease 9) Seronegative Arthropathies. Treating the underlying cause is the Treatment. Since it could be any of the conditions mentioned above it would be essential to have a physical examination at the earliest.
