Gave Birth One Week Ago. Taking Norco For Pain. Is It Affecting The Milk Production Or Baby S Lack Of Interest In Breast Feeding?
I am concerned about my daughter and her less than 1 week old baby. Daughter is still taking Norco for pain and I want to know if this medication is in any way affecting her milk production or her baby s lack of interest in the breast feeding. She only has 2 pills left. Thank you for any insight into this.

Mostly pain killers taken short term don't have effect on lactation. ...to increase the lactation give her lactagogues by consultation of lactation dpecialist or her obgy specialist. ....and the babys interest in feeding might be due to less feed available but if baby is sleepy than normal then it could be due to the narco....so baby will be fine if she stops taking them snd baby will be more alert
