Gave birth. Now got red ring on breast. Not dry nor itchy. No fever. Suggest medicine.

i had a baby two days ago. today i noticed a red ring on the upper part of my breast. it is not dry and scaly, it does not itch. it just showed up. I do not have a fever, the spot does not feel warm. what could it be. what should I watch for and what could I use to get rid of it that would be safe to use while breast feeding?

Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. It is difficult to come to a diagnosis just from your history, but as you are not having symptoms, I feel it could be benign. Kindly feed your baby as much as possible from that breast. If it persists kindly get it evaluated.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow-ups. If you like my answers kindly rate it, and write a review as well. Please do not forget to accept it.
