Gastritis, Acidity, Belching. Prescribed Prilosec. Blood And Urine Tests Normal. Time For Complete Cure?
The doctor said I may have gastritis and took a urine and blood test but no results. I feel like I have acid in my stomach and I have been belching . The doctor didn t tell me to much about it nor did they tell me that I need to eat a bland diet , I found that online. If I have acute gastritis will it return? How long will it take to get rid of with Prilosec?
You are probably suffering from peptic ulcer diseases or Gastrooesophageal reflux diseases (GORD) and you will need a multidisciplinary approach in managing the condition. Your diet is important. Avoiding starvation is a good way to start. Not eating food that can provoke heavy secretion of HCL acid in the stomach. You can take prilosec for 14-15 days which will treat and heal the gastritis. You can see a gastroenterologist who can do an endoscopy and request for H. pylori test. Depending on the findings appropriate treatment can be given.
Hope this helps
