Frontal Sinuses Done, Completely Blocked, Discomfort In Nose Even After Three Surgeries. Advice?

Hi,
I have had sinus surgery 3 times and my question is I had a deviated septum to the right and after reading the CT Scan reports I noticed that I have slight deviation to the left. I have recently had my frontal sinuses done which were completely blocked but I am still left with the most terrible discomfort in the nose which has been there since the first sinus surgery. The only way to get the mucus to drain is to physically move the septum with my fingers pushing it from side to side. Nobody will listen but I can't tell you how horrible this is. I feel like a presure there all the time and I can't wash it out sprays don't get it out it helps move it a little but it is there 24 hours a day. I cant sleep for more than a few hours I am constantly manipulating the bone around or putting presure on the bone up the top and this squeezes mucus out. It is hell it is there all the time I want to know if it is possible that I was probably born with the deviation and it has not caused me any problems but now that it has been straightened I now have problems with post nasal drip on the right side and that side is very tight the surgeon told me when doing the endoscopy after surgery as it was painful when he look up that nostril. I have questioned if it is possible to cause this unbearable mucus that I can feel caught at the point it has been straightened 24 hours a day but nobody will listen to me. I find it strange that the only way to get the mucus to move is to do what I have told you.
I am thinking that I may see a cosmetic surgeon and see if they can put the septum back where it was I am desperate to get relief from this horrible condition. Could you please tell me if you can offer me any advice.
Thankyou
Kerry

Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. I would like to review any Sinus CT Scan images (not the reports) in chronological order.

2. If you have any clinical , surgical notes, it may help.

3. A latest plain Sinus CT will be required.

4. The nasal septum changes in shape as the face grows till the age of 15 to 17 years.

5. The thick mucus is due to stagnation of the normal mucus either due to blockages, loss of mucosal cilliary function, turbulent nasal air flow, fungal infection and sinusitis.

6. Which mucolytics have you used?

Regards.
