Frequent menstruation, regimens, loette,

i am 19 years old ,and i have mensturation for 9 days ans stop for 2days and again in 13 days i get little bleeding .i went to doctor and she prescribed me medicine called regumens,for 3 month,i did it but there was no improvement. mine reports were all normal,again when i visited my doctor she told me to use the contraceptive pill called loette in day 2 of mensturation for 3 weeks and go off for 1 week and again to have for 3 week. should i use this pill.what is the benefit of this pill for my problem.

The periods in early starting age is usually irregulas for 2 to 5 years.
If there is no other problem than there is no need of any treatment.
Let the nature treat yopurself by it own.

Hi there,
Your doctor suspects some hormonal disturbance which is the reason she has prescribed the contraceptive pill. contraceptive pills are just small doses of hormones. After a few months of treatment with these pills your problem with your periods may reduce. Did your doctor get your Blood hormones tested?
I would advise you to get your LH,FSH, for ovarian hormones,TSH, FT3, FT4 for thyroid hormones, Blood glucose (fasting and post lunch) tested if not already done.
The contraceptive pill will help if there is no other reason for you periods being so irregular.
