Foul Smell After Sex, Yellow Discharge, Was On Period. What Could Have Happened?
Hi. Last wednesday I went out and got drunk. came back home and ended up having sex with my boyfriend. i was on my period but thought i took my tampon out. yesterday i noticed quite a horrible smell which hasn't gone away. and yellowy discharge. should i call my gp tomorrow morning and will they be able to take it out straight away? and can anything bad happen to me if its been in there for a week? thank you

when it remains for longer period during menstrual period , the menstrual blood , already absorbed in to the cotton of tampon is a fine media for bacterial growth , This gives foul smelling and yellowish discharge.
