Fever With Greenish Loose Motion

Hi, My daughter is 1.7 year old. She is suffering from fever with stools that comes in greenish. Doctor prescribe some medicine like xcure, norflox, omfore, but still the fever not get down. Please suggest. Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for posting query.
Your child probably has a gastrointestinal infection that leads to fever with greenish stool.

So please follow the advices-Give him plenty of water with ORS, Blunt diet, He may need a course of antibiotics with probiotics and paracetamol (calpol).
Follow him for development of any warning sign of dehydration
I advise you to get him examined by a Pediatrician at the earliest, get the investigation done and managed accordingly.

Thanks for query,
As she is not respond with antibiotic and other medicines go for blood check up,tc,dc,platelet count etc to find nature of infection.
After report go for treatment accordingly.
Mean while you continue the treatment.
Give enough water and liquids orally.
Ok and bye.

Hi,
The effect of antibiotics will take 48hrs to come if at all atleast after 24hrs.
so continue drugs correctly till 48 hrs If still fever persists consult doctor for any investigations.
