Viral illnesses can cause fever for more than 5days. Their management is generally symptomatic to relieve of symptoms while the body fights its way out of the infection. For the fevers, since your doctor has ruled out other possibilities that would have benefited from antibiotics, you should receive regular doses of a drug like paracetamol for your fevers. This would enable you to be free of these while the body fights its way out. Check and make sure you have some regularly scheduled doses. Cipromax is a strong antibiotic that covers lots of possible germs responsible for infections. You still having fevers after 5days of this drugs also makes the possibility of bacterial infection some what slim. i would join your doctor to manage as an acute viral illness hoping with optimism to resolution of symptoms over the next 72-96hours.
