Fever And Diarrhea. Can Ibuprofen Be Taken?

My daughter 20 has had a fever 39.2 under the arm, diarrhoea and constantly feeling sick. For over 36 hours. She has not been able to eat and so has only had paracetamol to try and get the temperature down. Can you give me advice as to weather she can have ibuprofen without food and whether she should take anything for the diarrhoea or just ride it out thanks

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
Your daughter is having acute gastro-enteritis.
For temporary relief you can give paracetamol or ibuprofen but not on empty stomach.
At the same time she should got for the treatment to stop loose motions as well.
There might be having dehydration, may require IV fluids.
Consult your doctor and start treatment as soon as possible.
Give plenty of water, electrolytes and lemon juice.
Give her coffee, apple and Dadam.
Give her light diet like curd, rice and buttermilk.
Ok and bye.
