Fell From Stairs And Hit Head, Have Back Pain With Difficulty In Breathing. Is It Normal?

Two days ago I fell down 8-10 stairs. I was on pain the night of and I did hit my head but had no nausea or anything that night. Now I m in very bad back pain , having difficulty taking deep breaths, have nausea, headache , and bring cloudiness-misspelling and difficulty focusing vision . I m doing to the dr but am at work right now. Should I leave work or should I be ok for a few more hours?

dear patient,

since you wrote that ,it is affecting your daily activities, severe pain. Better take an X-ray of spine to see if any fracture or just muscle sprain. Any of these would direct you to take good bed rest with proper medication and good spine support. You had head injury, because of which one can have internal bleeding ,raised intracranial pressure and lead to nausea, headache, cloudiness, blurred vision.immediately consult a neurosurgeon, as it is to be treated by surgical intervention.
