Feelings Of Dread, Panic Attacks. On Nexito. Will I Get Dependant?
hi my husband passed away in a car accident 2.5 yrs back, post which i have been having feelings of dread and tht something bads going to happen to me. hve had a few panic attacks too. my doc prescribed nexito 10 for 6 months it is 6 months, though i still have these feelings. how do i become ok and can i stop taking the medication as i dont want to be dependent on it!
I am really sorry about your husband. See escitalopram or nexito is a SSRI drug and this drugs helps to improve serotonin transmission which is the reason behind depressive and anxiety symptoms. The drug help to control anxiety when properly taken but you are taking this drug for about 6 months with no response so I would advice you to consult your psychiatrist for change in medicines or change in dose. Drug dont cause dependence but it should be discontinued with gradual tapering of doses. There is no risk that you will become dependent.
Thanks
