Feeling Squeezing In The Chest, Rashes On The Cheeks And Nose. Normal Angiogram Report. Anything To Be Worried?
I have had investigations over the past couple of years for squeezing arounnd my chest - i am a 52 year old female - i have recently had all sorts of aches and pains - sores up and around my nose and a funny rash that appears on my cheeks and nose - i also have joint pain - the investigations have not found any problems with my heart and this was confirmed by an angiogram - is it just part of the ageing process?
Dear friend
thanks for writing to us.
if your angiogram is normal, and you still have typical anginal chest discomfort, one possibility is microvascular angina or small vessel disease, but for this entity your stress test (TMT/Stress ECHO/Stress Thallium) must be abnormal. if it is also normal which you have not mentioned, then your chest discomfort in all probability is non-cardiac.
joint pain/ rashes on nose and cheek can be due to a rheumatological disorder, which needs a clinical examination and consultation with a Rheumatologist/ physician. so consult the experts.
please write back if any of your cardiac investigations / problems need clarification.
sincerely
