Feeling Sleepless During Night

I am awakened every night, sometimes 4-5 times per night with a quivering in my chest. I have worn an event monitor for 2 weeks and recorded 19 events. My doctor told me the results were normal. I had an echo cardiogram which was also normal. I have bradycardia and have taken my pulse between 47 and 53 bpm when at rest. I am 53 years old and while not overweight, am not athletic. My doctor is treating me for anxiety at this point,

prescribing 75mg effexor daily at present.

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

In that case, i would prefer to give you benzodiazepine like clonazepam. That would help you to get sound sleep and control anxiety symptoms. You can carry on with effexor and can also try relaxation exercise. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
