Feeling Pill Is Stuck In Throat. Able To Breathe And Swallow Fine. Have Pain. Suggestions?

I took my nightly prescription pill before going to bed (around 1am) and woke up an hour later with the feeling of it being stuck in my throat , at around the mid-chest level. I am still able to breathe and swallow fine, but it hurts a little bit. I don t know if the pill is still stuck or if my efforts to dislodge it have just inflamed my esophagus . Any suggestions?
