Feeling Pain In Arm After An Ectopic Surgery. Is This Common?

Hi I had an ectopic surgery (laparoscopic) 3 weeks back and my right tube was removed. From day one after surgery, I have been feeling slight pain in my left arms(under arms, back and down the arms). The pain is not severe but could feel it. It is not stopping me doing anywork but just a bit uncomfortable. Is this common or something to worry about.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
Following laparoscopic surgery, where gas is used to inflate your abdomen, there is minor irritation of the diaphragm, and pain is referred to the locations you describe.
That is common, but you should still have a follow up visit with your operating surgeon to discuss this problem and be sure that it is the cause, and nothing else to worry about.
Take care.
