Feeling Of Mucus At Base Of Throat, Constant Swallowing, Pain In Shoulder
For the last week I have the constant feeling of mucus at the base of the throat but no matter how many times I try to clearmy throat I can t..I even try to clear so forcefully that sometimes I feel like vomiting ... and also find I m constantly swallowing trying to clear it and sometimes a slight pain in left or right shoulder and inbetween shoulder blades, feels like muscle ache that comes and goes

Your problems indicates us that you are suffering from Dysphagia. Here abnormalities may be at the base of tongue, Pharynx or in esophagus.
To confirm it thorough examination of throat and upper G.I. Endoscopy is must to find out the pathology. As soon as the abnormality is identified proper treatment may be planed.
