Feeling Of Having Xiphoid Process That Seem To Split In Half
My xiphoid process seems to be split in half. It feels like I started to grow two extra small ribs. Its very tender to touch. for the last year or so I have been having upper back pain and the left side of my head and left ear keep going numb off and on.

If you have history of trauma then fracture at xiphoid process had to be ruled out by x ray ...
You can have simple costochondritis like condition.
Muscle strain or tear by trauma or by any unaccoustemed activity can lead pain.
Here xiphoid split and extra rib seems to be very unsual.... Still x ray can done that will solve problem.
Rest done.
Simple analgesic can taken...
