Feeling Of General Unwellness, Lightheaded, Low Grade Fever, Weakness, Rash All Over Saddle Area, Itchy, Painful. Cure?

My husband periodically presents with a feeling of general unwellness, lightheaded feeling ,low grade fever ,and weakness. After about 6-10 hrs of this he develops a rash all over his saddle area(lower back- buttocks ) It is very hot to the touch, lasts several days,is painful, then begins to itch and peel.At no time is it bumpy or uneven, just massive and red all over.Any thoughts?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms that your husband has are more likely to be due to a generalized viral infection. This can be associated with a mild rash as you have described. If there is no improvement after taking acetaminophen and rest for two days then consider visiting a physician for evaluation.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
