Feeling Of Fluid Under Skin, Had Hematoma On The Area, Broken Ribs, Fell From Horse. MRI, Ultrasound Done. Normal Results
I fell off a horse 1 year ago and broke 4 ribs on the right side and a large hematoma on the right side and hip. At the time my whole side was numb. Where the hematoma was I can feel liquid under my skin when I touch it. There's also pain in my right buttock. I have had a ultrasound and MRI nothing. What else can I do I feel the fluid. Thanks
Hello and welcome to HCM, Hematomas are formed due to collection of blood under the skin due to trauma. The hematomas usually clear on their own without any intervention. It is unlikely to have residual fluid after resolution of the hematoma. It is normal to have numbness after the trauma. However, is the numbness still present after one year of injury? If yes then you need to consult your doctor to find out the cause of numbness which should not be present one year after the injury. Since, the MRI and ultrasonography are within normal limits, there is nothing to worry.
