Feeling Heavy Feet Mostly At Night. Not Cured By Massaging. What It Could Be?

I keep getting this heavy feeling in both of my feet & I massage or wiggle them but it doesn t go away. It happens more at night when in bed or on sofa. Causes me to have serious sleeplessness when it happens. It isn t constant but seems to be happening more & more lately. Any idea what it could be? It is only in my feet (no legs, arms, fingers) Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

There is possibility of lumbar canal stenosis, MRI will help in diagnosis.
Epidural steroid shots remains a good option, which can be repeated again though you have taken in past.

Till time you can take analgesic and neurotropic medication.
And remember; avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give temporary relief.
Core stabilizing spine exercises will help.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
