1. Two tests needed to make a diagnosis of Hashimotos hypothyroidism
are serum TSH and Anti thyroid peroxidase
Additional tests like Ultrasound of neck and T3, T4 will help if you can afford it.
2. Iodine rich diet or Iodaral is not a treatment for Hashimotos hypothyroidism, it is used for Iodine deficiency
hypothyroidism (Another cause of hypothyroidism)
Hashimotos hypothyroidism is treated with thyroxine hormone replacements
