You need to see a doctor and also check you blood sugar and thryoid hormone level. Only then a diagnosis can be made. Hyperthyroidism causes similar symptoms.

This just happened to me the other night for the first time. I thought I was going to die. I got really shaky, dizzy, my heart was beating so fast I thought it might explode and I almost passed out. my bf told me to eat sugar and when I did I felt much better. I've been trying to figure it out and I think it might be a hypogycemia attack/episode. I'm going to go to a doc and make sure I don't have diabetes. You should look it up/see a doc about it too. Hypoglycemia is a sudden drop in blood sugar and is usually found in people with diabetes but it can occur in people without diabetes and Hypoglycemia runs in my family, but not diabetes. But hypoglycemia in people without diabetes is rare apparently. I am also very thin (5'9" and 120) and I eat a lot and do not gain weight...I've been like this my whole life and I'm 27 but this is the first time anything like this happened to me. I was really scared.
