Eyes Not Symmetrical, Eye Lids Not Moving Like Normal Persons Eyelid. Having Congenital Ptosis. Suggestions?

Hello Doctor,

I have congenital ptosis in both of my eyes.

around six years back, I got it operated with surgery.

I find that the shape of my eyes is not appropriate and both eyes are not symmetrical. When i see downward, eye lid does not come down like a normal person and when i sleep, some portion of eye lid opens up.

Can i have the eyes with perfect shape?

Looking forward fro your suggestions.

Hi ..
Thanks for choosing HCM for your query.

Congenital ptosis can be mild to severe.
It is associated with poor function of the elevators of the eye in severe cases.
Surgery will help to lift your drooped lids and brings back to near normal shape
but perfect symmetry is not always possible.
From your symptoms you seem to be having poor function of elevators of lids.
Don't worry. Resurgery sometimes is possible (depending on what procedure was done initially) which can help you. Consult an Oculoplasty surgeon at your place who can help you.
