welcome to healthcaremagic portal
the eye transplant is only done for corneal blindness, where the front portion of the eye becomes white, rest of the eye has to be normal to give the patient good vision.Since the supply of corneas is limited the surgery is limited to those cases where visual outcome is expected. In cases where there is some other cause of loss of vision the surgery is of no use.
