Eye Shows Slight Redness On The Corner. What Could The Cause Be?
hello, since yesterday my left eye on the far side of it not flashes but a red light slides down inside my eyewhat is that about? when I mean slide I mean it by the light which I noticed is red like falls down inside my eye. help I need to know what that means. there is no throbbing, headache or twitching just that happening only.
A sensation of something falling inside the eye generally is the perception of a floater within the vitreous cavity inside the eye. many people see small hair like, thread like or small dots within the eye when looking against a clear background that floats around and is normal in many cases. However, if red in colour, it could signify a bleed inside the eye and may be seen following trauma, in diabetics, high myopes, patients on anticoagulants or blood thinners commonly after heart surgery and sometimes spontaneously for no reason at all. Whatever the reason, the retina is always the first to be evaluated to rule out any bleed if present. This can only be done with a dilated eye examination to look at the retina and within the vitreous cavity. Schedule an appointment to be on the safe side.
