Explain MRI Showing Chronic Microangipayth Change, Small Vessel Ischemic Disears And Gliotic Change

I just got my mri report and it shows chronic microangipayth change, small vessel ischemic disears and small vessell ischemic-gliotic change. It also reports Favor pulsation artifacts over some involvement of the right central pontine white matter, without lacunar encephalomalacia. Any idea what that all means? I m 58, have well controlled hi bp and am diabetic

Thanks for writing to us

According to MRI report you have chronic ischemic changes in your brain due to involvement of small blood vessels.
These ischemic areas gradually become gliotic areas.
Ischemic changes occur due to systemic disorders like Hypertension,Diabetes mellitus,Dyslipidemia.
These long standing diseases causes changes in the blood vessels.
There is also some artifacts in the white matter of right central pontine region of brain.
