Experiencing Pain In The Cartilage Of Ear After Ear Piercing

i peirced my own ear cartalige with an earing 2 weeks ago.it was fine till two nights ago when it got so painfull i couldnt sleep so i took the earing out.it has now got worse.its a purple colour all over and i feel pain down my neck and jaw.its swolled badley and i have a feaver what sould i do to help it? YYYY@YYYY

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that there has been infection and inflammation at the site of piercing that has spread deeper to the soft tissues of the earlobes leading to swelling and severe pain..
I would suggest you to consult a General Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
You can apply a combination of a steroid and antibiotic ointment over the earlobe..
Do cool compresses over the earlobe..
You should also wear only gold or plastic earrings as they are inert materials and will not cause allergic reaction as they do not decompose when come in contact with air or water..
