Experiencing Fever & Gastritis After Egg Retrieval

Hi, I had EGG RETRIEVAL on 3rd may 2013 and day 3 embryo transfer on 6th may. I had fever for a day on 5 th may for which my doctor advised calpol. The fever subsided after taking the medicine and when my husband rubbed the area of progesterone injection. On 7 th of May, next day of embryo transfer I have 101.4 fever which is not going away after taking 2 crocin. I am on progesterone both oral and vaginal. Ecosprin 75 mg, agiprime sachet and another self administered injection. Also I have gas trapped since egg retrieval. Are these symptoms normal? Can I take pan 40 for gas?

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Progesterone can cause fever. But in case if not improving, consult a nearby physician. U can take antacids or ranitidine for abdominal symptoms. If not improving, consult physician and get an ultrasound scan to rule out ovarian hyperstimulation.
