Experiencing Chest Pain Due To An External Injury

I had my two year old nephew jump on my chest about a month ago. He kneed me in my left breast and it knocked the breath out of me and hurt very badly. I didn t go to the dr because everything seemed fine. Then about three days after it happened I leaned over and my heart felt like it had a spasm. My heart rate did not go up, but it scared me to death. My husband said since I was tired, a bit out of breath, and not able to take deep breaths he probably cracked or hairline fractured my rib in some way, but a dr couldn t do anything I should just rest. I can breath fine now and my side still gets a bit sore if I lay on it to long or something presses on it. However, even when I am completely calm sitting around sometimes I still feel this heart flutter/spasm/weird thing. It never happened before, and is just scary now. It makes me lightheaded when it happens. I must add though I have extremely bad health anxiety. So this really worries me and the light headedness allow with the sweaty palms that comes after the flutter I think could be me feeling super scared about it. I am just wondering if this is ok or if I do need to go see a professional. It happens at different times, it was about once maybe twice a day at the beginning and now maybe once a week. I m 28 yr. Female, I don t work out but I am active. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi I read your query very carefully.

The pain you are experiencing is due to chest trauma and doesn't seems related to cardiac problems.

However you suffer from anxiety disorder so I suggest to be checked by a healthcare profesional. This will help you to relief your anxiety about what happened.

Hope it was of help!
