Pain and these night sweats could be an indication of most probably a chronic infectious process or a tumoral syndrome. Intrabdominal abscesses and tumors classically present as such. Extra pulmonary Tuberculosis could also have manifestations as such. A complete blood count to measure the white blood cell count is mandatory, an Erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C reactive protein to ascertain the degree of inflammation. A blood culture needs to be done. A chest X ray and an abdominal ultrasound is required to visualize internal abdominal structures. Doing a routine pap smear in your case could also be helpful for follow up and routine purposes with respect to cervical integrity. paying special attention during the clinical evaluation and ultrasound with respect to presence or absence of lymph nodes could be very informative for further diagnostic purposes.
