Hello and welcome to health care magic!
I have gone through your question and find that your problem is one of
night sweats, choking sensation, breathing difficulty on and off without any precipitating factor,
dizziness, and light headedness and occasional
blurred vision along with this.
From my clinical experience I think it is more related to anxiety - dizziness, racing heart, night sweats, difficult breathing etc. The times when you feel that you are choked and cant get enough breaths and difficulty in seeing clearly is some what similar to panic attacks; which is a symptom of severe anxiety.
I cannot understand why you think it is because of HIV, as nowhere have you mentioned that you have any high risk behaviour, like: unsafe sex with commercial sex worker,
blood transfusion, or needle prick form HIV positive patient, or a positive HIV test, etc. I don't think this is a presentation of HIV. But becoming extremely fearful of his/ her health is a common symptom in anxiety disorder.
I would suggest you to visit a
psychiatrist and take antianxiety medicine. From my experience I feel that you will respond greatly to medicines like:
paroxetine or
venlafaxine, and these sudden attacks can be tackled with some benzodiazapines. With correct drugs you will have good response in few days!
However, only a detailed interview of the patient can determine the exact nature of the problem and therefore you must meet a doctor in person.
hope this answer helps you.
