Everything Normal In Anomaly Scan During Pregnancy. Uterine Doppler Showed Persistent Diastolic Notch In Left Artery. Anything Serious?
i had my 5 th month anomaly scan yesterday at 21 st week .the doctor said that everything is normal..while seeing my report i found that the uterine doppler showed a persistent diastolic notch in left artery while the right artery was normal...is anything serious ?i have been scheduled for a scan at 24 th week for interval growth and fetal cardiography....
Hi A persistent diastolic notch in uterine artery means utero-placental insufficiency. But it is showing on one side only(left). You also need to look for umblical artery flow ( normal, decreased or reversal ) and flow in MCA artery. For thiscolor doppler scan is done and it is important to see S/D ratio ,Pi,etc. But all this for your dr. to see and guide you,You should stick for a regular follow up and advice. For this they have already planned for next scan, Thanks.
