Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The early symptoms of rabies infection would be headache, fever, malaise (feeling tired and weak). Normally symptoms occur 2 to 12 weeks after infection has occured.
In general it is advised to watch the animal for 10 to 14 days for any signs of rabies, if any signs are seen then the child should be given the rabies vaccine which is highly effective in preventing the disease.
Early signs of rabies in the dog would be apprehension, nervousness, snapping, fever.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
