ECG Showed Old Inferior Infarct, Left Atrial Hypertrophy, Marked High Laterial Repolarization Disturbance. Explain

I recently had an ECG which said a few things including "old inferior infarct" , 'left atrial hypertrophy' and 'marked high laterial repolarization disturbance'. My doctor didn't seem too concerned by these findings, but they've been worrying me ever since - especially since I know that 'an old inferior infarct' means I had a heart attack at some time, even though I was not aware of until the ECG report mentioned it. Can you set my mind at ease about these matters please,as I am naturally very worried that there should be anything wrong with my heart? I look forward to hearing what you have to say and thank you. My Email address is as follows: YYYY@YYYY . Thank you.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

It is a machine interpretation and needs to be confirmed by the physician
It is just an investigation and should be interpreted in relation to the total clinical picture.

Some of them may be variations and could be normal… If symptomatic, you need more investigations - ECHOcardiogram is necessary to see the heart valves (Mitral Valve Prolapse) / heart muscle (Cardiomyopathy) and heart function (Ejection fraction, wall motion abnormality) ... / TMT – Treadmill exercise ECG; may be with thallium isotope – is necessary to evaluate ischemia (reduced blood flow / Coronary Artery Disease). Why was ECG done at all?

The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
Good luck
