Duphaston Can Avoid An Unwanted Pregnancy ?

hi doctor , I had an unprotected sex due to an condom burst. I am living in a country where contraceptive pill are restricted. then i went to a doctor and she gave me duphaston. Can this help me prevent from an unwanted pregnancy .

Duphaston is a progesterone and it will prevent the unwanted pregnancy if it is taken in proper dose and at the correct time.Although it is not a proper contraceptive pill if it is used once it is ok.But the real medicine need to avoid unwanted pregnancy is an emergency contraceptive and not duphaston so next time better use protection.
