Dull Pain Under Collar Bone, Stiffness In Neck. Reason?
hello i have been having a dull pain under my left collar bone for just over a month now. i feel it when i breath deep and its there pretty much all the time. last weekend it seemed to be gone for a couple days then returned. i am 35 yearsold and a light smoker, i excercise regularly with moderate weights and cardio. i have refrained from weights for the last month to see if it would get better. if i do some weights its not a direct pain when i perform the excercise, the pain doesn t get worse it doesn t get better. just the same. periodically i will also get pain stiffness on left side of my neck and the odd time behind my left shoulder blade like a zapping feeling different from the front under the collar bone. its like a triangle around the should but the actual shoulder joint itself feels fine. any thoughts?
Hello.
Thanks for posting your query.
The muscle stiffness in your neck and dull pain may be related to muscle spasm. A physical examination is necessary to find out the exact cause.I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination.
The treatment usually involves rest with pain killers in combination with the muscle relaxants along with good physiotherapy exercises.
Meanwhile you can do a hot fomentation and apply a local analgesic gel on the area to relieve the spasm.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
