You describe your pain as constant and dull and
always in the same location beneath your right ribs.
There is the liver and gallbladder
. There is the covering
of the lower part of the lung , the pleura. Then there are
nerves in the groove of the ribs. Any of these , if inflamed,
can give you that kind of pain. Trapped gas in general can
be relieved by changing position and is usually not constant.
You need to get a sonogram of the liver and gallbladder to rule
out gallstones. Get a chest x-ray to see if ther is any fluid in the
right lung lower part. Get a complete blood count
to see if
there are signs of infection. If all negative , you can try taking
some anti-inflammatory over the counter medication
as per directions with food for 4-5 days
and see if it improves.
