Hi,
First of all realize that life is precious. Tobacco when used in any form is harmful to both general and oral health. It has been the major cause of Oral cancer and other pre-cancerous lesions around the world. The symptoms mentioned shows that it is Oral submucous fibrosis which results in fibrosis of the mucosa of the oral cavity and also reduced mouth opening. The habit must be stopped at the earliest and you should consult a dentist at your locality.

Hi welcome to HealthcareMagic

Chewing the pan masala will not have any effect on the opening of the mouth, it will lead to ulcers on tongue, buccal mucosa, and staining of the teeth... but chewing pan for many years will cause thickening of tongue.. and Dysarthria (speech disturbances).. you need to be clinically evaluated and examined.. other cause for not able to open mouth are, lock jaw., in case of tetanus , painful angular stomatis, parotitis etc.. consult an ENT specialist he will guide you....

Take care...
