Dry Wart On Elbow, Splits In Skin, Roughness. Using Fast Acting Liquid. Treatment?

Hello, my wart on my elbow is dry and i can move my finger on it and see little splits in the skin but it has been like this for almost a year and still isnt coming off. i feel like it should be dead by now, the skin is really dry and rough on top. There is a small split that i peeled off a bit. does this mean it will go away? because i might be able to continue doing that since it is so dry, then put more fast acting liquid on it after i remove the top.
